So later, when the man with a decade in the major leagues and two World Series rings was asked how the Padres get over the summit of mediocrity they have approached a few times, Bogaerts did not hesitate.
The reality is that a championship team has to beat good teams at some point, but winning records are generally built by walking over losing teams.
