Lesko was previously the first junior to ever win Gatorade national player of the year honors, going 11-0 with an 0.35 ERA, 112 strikeouts in 60 innings at Georgia’s Buford High . Before the injury, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound Lesko topped out at 97 mph with an advanced changeup and a developing curveball.and No. 13 by Baseball America.The first high school pitcher off the board this year, Lesko is committed to Vanderbilt.Lesko is the third high school pitcher drafted in the first round by the Padres in the A.J.
