Rams coach Sean McVay and former assistant Matt LaFleur are friends, but the Green Bay Packers coach isn't thrilled about facing Baker Mayfield.
Baker Mayfield wasn’t even a Ram 48 hours before he led a victory over the Raiders, but a week later coach Sean McVay says the quarterback doesn’t need to learn whole playbook to succeed.
“I don’t think there’s too many guys that could have done that,” LaFleur said. “I mean it’s pretty remarkable. ... Shoot, some of the throws he made on that last drive were pretty spectacular.”Despite the Rams’ struggles this season, McVay remained positive throughout, LaFleur said. Mayfield’s touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter pulled the Browns to within 24-22. The Browns drove to midfield with 50 seconds left before the final interception.. An interception was nullified because of a pass interference penalty.
