Body of 45-year-old man found in Lake Placid suspected to have been mauled to death by animals.
On 7/5/19 at 5:19 AM EDTPolice in Florida are investigating the suspicious death of a man who appeared to have been attacked by a pack of wild dogs in Lake Placid.
"A pack of dogs was seen in the area shortly after the body was discovered," the Highlands County Sheriff's Office saidAnimal Services and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission units are setting traps in the area in order to catch the canines responsible. The first body, later identified as Jacquill Terrell Williams, 30, of Lake Placid, was discovered in rural area between Avon Park and Sebring at around 8:45 a.m. on June 22.
Police believe that the two homicides are related and were not random acts of violence. No arrests have been made during the investigation.
