He also used the ranch as a meeting place for million dollar cocaine deals and parties with teenage girls.from the San Diego Zoo in the early 1980s and another two from fellow drug traffickers, the Ochoa brothers. Escobar kept exotic animals from around the world, including this kangaroo he posed with, emus, giraffes, and elephants. Following his death, all of his pets were either killed or removed — except for the hippos.Hippos breed freely in the absence of predators on the 7,000 acres Escobar held them on. They have now been declared an invasive menace by local authorities.
