in Richardson are expanding their business and venturing into coffee shops.
“It was perfect timing,” Trejo says. “We wanted to branch out of Richardson, and when this opportunity came it was like, ‘Omg, yes.’” The Modern Well, a small coffee shop along Rowlett’s Main Street, was a customer of La Casita Bakeshop, which provides pastries to more than 70 coffee shops and food businesses around North Texas. Trejo says the owners of the coffee shop were ready to move on to a different venture but wanted The Modern Well space to remain a coffee shop.La Casita Coffee will have a full coffee program led by baristas from The Modern Well who are staying on to work at the new concept.
