Granted, Portella wasn’t on mat long enough to see much. He wrestled only twice at the NJSIAA/Rothman Orthopaedics District 20 Wrestling Championships. He had a first-round bye, a forfeit in the quarters and wrestled a combined 78 seconds in his semifinal- and final-round bouts.
