It's coming to a number of sites
A theatre company is presenting several outdoor performances across Nottinghamshire this summer. Chapterhouse Theatre Company will be bringing to life a variety of classic tales for families across the county.
On Thursday, August 31, the company will be performing The Importance of Being Earnest at Newstead Abbey, Ravenshead, as part of its Open-Air Garden Theatre Tour of the UK. The production is set to start at 7pm and features a cast of larger then life actors who will take on the popular Oscar Wilde play.
The first show in Nottinghamshire by the team was a performance of Sense and Sensibility which took place at Newark Castle on Wednesday, August 2, and the team will be returning to the historic venue on Wednesday, August 30 for their performance of The Secret Garden. The company will also be performing The Secret Garden at Wollaton Hall and Deer Park on Friday, August 4 and Cresswell Crags in Worksop, on Thursday, September 1.
The productions in this year's line up marks the company's 24th year of touring the UK and Ireland, as each year they return to bring to life some of the best loved literature classics. More information about the performances can be found here.
