This year’s Academy Awards could be the best ever for theThree stars nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards at the 93rd annual Oscars ceremony were also recognized byas among entertainment’s brightest young talent. A win for any of them would put them alongside 30 Under 30 alums Emma Stone, who won Best Actress for her role inThe three nominations come during a year of change for the ceremony, which has been criticized for its traditional lack of diversity.
Past 30 Under 30 alumni who have performed in Oscar-winning films include Timothee Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan in. Olivia Cooke, a 2017 30 Under 30 Europe honoree, starred opposite Riz Ahmed in, which is up for the Best Picture this year, but is not nominated for an award herself. Bakalova was named a 2021 30 Under 30 Europe honoree earlier this month.
