, Oprah will be giving a personal commencement speech via livestream on May 15. And what's more, she'll be joined by Miley Cyrus , Jennifer Garner, Awkwafina, Simone Biles, Lil Nas X, and more guests to be announced.
The event will air on Facebook and Instagram, and clips will be shared on individual guests' Instagram accounts. Facebookthe ceremony will give shout-outs to high schools and colleges throughout the U.S., and include photos and videos of the class of 2020 and messages from principals and deans. With schools around the globe closing down to protect students and staff from the coronavirus, planned graduation ceremonies have been called off, with many schools opting to hold ceremonies virtually. With Oprah's help, though, hopefully this livestream will make commencement season slightly more special.
