It will open in the next few weeks
Summer is just around the corner and with the weather starting to warm up there’s nothing better than a swimming pool to have fun and cool off.
Whether you enjoy splashing around or dipping your toes in the water, a popular swimming outdoor pool is set to open - and it's just a 40 minute drive away from Nottingham. Ashby Lido, based at Ashby Leisure Centre in Leicestershire, is set to open just before summer hits. The lido, run by Everyone Active, will be open from May 27.As reported by Leicester Mercury, there are two outdoor pools that form the Ashby Lido - the main 30m by 10m main pool and a smaller 10m by 6m pool. The site also features an 'Ashby-by-the-Sea' sandpit and a 'catering hub' serving refreshments that both first opened in 2021.
The session times and prices for 2023 have not yet been revealed, but Everyone Active has announced that outdoor pool parties are now available to book. The pool parties can take place on Fridays and Saturdays between 6.30pm and 8.30pm, with a maximum capacity of 50 people. They include rafts and floats and two lifeguards on hand.
