David Dobrik received 11 Nominations for this year's Streamy Awards, which honor online influencers, programs, and brand collaborations
Dobrik, born in Slovakia and a Los Angeles resident, has more than 14 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, which launched about five years ago. His videos there have received 5.9 billion views, both solo and with an online ensemble called the VlogSquad. Dobrik also has branched into voice acting onamong other newer ventures.
Several of Dobrik’s nominations were for collaborations he did with brands such as SeatGeek and Chipotle, technical categories, as well as for hisNotables from traditional media to receive Streamy nominations this year include actors Jack Black and Jada Pinkett Smith Old Town Road got a huge boost from its constant use by fans on TikTok. Kylie Jenner and Naomi Campbell are each up for online collaborations they did with others, including Dobrik. The Phillip DeFranco Show is up for a record fourth award as best news show.
“This year’s Streamy Awards nominees express the breadth of creativity and diversity of our creator community,” said Streamys founder Drew Baldwin. Nominees and winners in most categories are determined by votes from an independent panel of judges from across the industry. Fans decide the winners in two big categories: Creator of the Year and Show of the Year.
