Latest: One person has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a bus and pedestrian in Belfast city centre
spokesperson said tonight: "Streets in the vicinity of Belfast City Hall are closed to traffic following a serious road traffic collision at the junction of Donegall Square West and Donegall Square South. Please avoid the area."
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service has since confirmed that one person has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian. In a statement, an NIAS spokesperson said: "We received a 999 call at 19:40 on Saturday 28 January following reports of a road traffic collision involving a bus and a pedestrian in Belfast City Centre."Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Hospital."Thank you for joining us
