One unidentified African American male is dead after a drive by shooting in Arlington.
Just after 8 p.m. JSO responded to 9840 Atlantic Blvd. about a person shot. Upon arriving they discovered an unidentified African American male between 20-25 suffering from a gunshot wound.The investigation has revealed that the victim was driving eastbound on Arlington Expressway when the vehicle he was driving was shot multiple times. Around the same time a 911 call came in about gunfire around southside connector and Arlington Expressway. It is believed to be the same incident.
Investigators believe the shooter or shooters were in another vehicle. It is currently unsure if this was a result of road rage. JSO ask anyone with information related to the incident to please reach out by phone at 904-630-0500, by email at
