Four Oakland shootings Friday night left a Berkeley man dead and three other men wounded.
OAKLAND — One man was killed and three other men wounded in separate shootings that happened within four hours Friday night in different areas of the city, authorities said.An arrest was made in one of the non-fatal shootings, police said.
Police don’t have a motive yet for the shooting and are trying to determine if the man was shot by someone who approached him on the street or fired at him from a passing vehicle. No arrests have been made.The killing is the 40th homicide investigated by Oakland police this year. Last year at this time police had investigated 45 homicides in the city.
About 9:40 p.m. a 29-year-old man was wounded in the upper torso outside in the area of the 5100 block of International Boulevard. He got his own transportation to a hospital and was in stable condition.
