High-beta stocks have kicked into high gear in the past week. Ari Wald of Oppenheimer sees one chipmaker that could ride the rally. He joins Boris Schlossberg of BK Asset Management to discuss.
Not all market watchers believe the high-beta surge can continue, though., managing director of FX strategy at BK Asset Management, said the rally may have hit its limit.
"It's basically the ultimate bet on a V-shaped recovery, but that's really why I'm not a fan, because the overall product really has soared on 'hope-ium' rather than reality. I think that the market is very vulnerable to any further U.S.-China tensions," Schlossberg said during the same segment. Schlossberg is watching $40 on the SPHB ETF as a make-or-break resistance level. The ETF was trading at $39.74 on Tuesday morning.
