British female cycling stars are 'too scared to speak out' after threatening to boycott national championships over trans row
Emily began hormone therapy in 2021 and wants to compete as a woman, weeks after competing as a man. Former Team GB marathon runner Mara Yamauchi said female cyclists were 'too scared to speak up'. However, she has been barred from competing in women's race this weekend while still registered as a man.
Sport's international governing body said she's ineligible following row and also hold 'expert panel' on issue. It has been described as a 'fudge' by Sharron Davies, who fears that she will allow her to compete as a woman.
