BOOM Ohio State women's basketball adds its second player from the transfer portal this offseason as former Kentucky guard Kennedy Cambridge commits to the Buckeyes.
After the additions of Celeste Taylor and Taiyier Parks earlier this offseason, Ohio State women's basketball has landed another top transfer prospect.
On Wednesday, Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff and his staff received the commitment of former Kentucky guard Kennedy Cambridge, who entered the transfer portal after one season with the Wildcats.A four-star recruit, Cambridge arrived at Kentucky after four successful years at Ensworth High School in Nashville, Tennessee. As a senior at Ensworth in 2021-22, she averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 3.
In her lone season at Kentucky, Cambridge appeared in 19 games and averaged 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest. Her season-high totals included nine points and three steals against Ole Miss and eight rebounds and three assists against Georgia. Cambridge entered the transfer portal after the Wildcats lost to Tennessee 80-71 in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.
