The Buckeyes will wear all-black uniforms on Saturday when they host Wisconsin in a 'Black Out' at Ohio Stadium.
The Buckeyes are 3-0 while sporting the black uniforms with wins over Penn State, 38-10, in 2015, Nebraska, 36-31, in 2018, and Michigan State, 34-10, in 2019. Ohio State is 25-7 in games wearing alternates dating back to its 21-10 win over Michigan in 2009 in Ann Arbor.
Additionally, Ohio State is 2-0 against Wisconsin while wearing alternates. The first win was a 33-29 thriller in 2011 that included Braxton Miller's game-winning touchdown pass to Devin Smith. The Buckeyes wore uniforms that honored the 1961 national championship team. The other matchup was a 31-24 victory in Madison in 2013, where OSU sported “Rivalry” uniforms including a chrome helmet.
