The Buckeyes added a third defensive lineman to their 2023 class Monday.
And Monday, the Buckeyes got the boost they wanted, securing a commitment from 2023 four-star defensive lineman Kayden McDonald, beating out Clemson, Florida, Michigan and Oklahoma.
"Every school was a great academic and football school," McDonald said."What separated Ohio State, coach Day and coach Johnson, they consistently were one of the first teams to believe in me and the recruited me consistently. It's great academics, opportunity to play early and just really competing and winning a national championship.
A 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman out of Suwanee, Georgia, McDonald is the No. 40 defensive lineman in the 2023 class, the No. 291 player in the class and the No. 27 prospect in the state according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
