C.J. Stroud shook off an early pick six to throw six touchdown passes as Ohio State rolled to a 49-20 win at Michigan State
The Buckeyes averaged 11 yards per play in gaining 429 yards in the first half. Ohio State's defense was just as dominating for most of the game. Michigan State ran for only 7 yards. With each team's starting quarterbacks in the game, Ohio State outgained Michigan State 560-102. The Buckeyes ran for 237 yards.
“It didn't exactly start the way we wanted it on offense,” Ryan Day said, “and nobody panicked at all.” It also helps to have the receivers the Buckeyes have, even without the continued absence of Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Harrison became the first Buckeye ever to have three career games with three touchdown catches. Harrison has started only seven games.
