The Ohio Department of Health director Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff hosted a weekly COVID-19 briefing on Thursday morning.
The director was joined by Dr. Sara Bode, a pediatrician with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic’s Dr. Steven Gordon.
Topics during the health briefing included the potential authorization for vaccine use in children younger than 5 years old and the ongoing support from the Ohio National Guard in the state’s hospitals.Currently, the Northeast Ohio county is averaging approximately 128 cases per 100,000 population. Several weeks ago, Cuyahoga County was reported over 3,000 cases.
