Police did not fire while responding to gunfire that left both an officer and a female victim of domestic violence wounded and the suspect dead Saturday in Warren County, local and state investigators say.while responding to a violent domestic incident has been treated and released from the hospital, the Warren County prosecutor said Saturday night.
“I can confirm there were absolutely no rounds fired by the police,” he said. “The only shots fired at the scene were fired by the suspect.” The round passed through the officer’s thigh, according to the prosecutor. New Jersey State Police flew both the female victim and the officer for treatment at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill.“Our thoughts are with both victims as they begin their physical and emotional recoveries,” the attorney general stated.
