As part of a $4.3 million project Ohio Department of Transportation project targeting a dozen Cuyahoga County bridges in need, W. 220th Street is receiving a minor facelift.

“This work is being performed to maintain the bridge to provide safe travel for motorists and pedestrians,” ODOT District 12 Public Information Officer Isaac Hunt said. “The project started in 2021 and is expected to be completed this summer. “In order to perform the work as efficiently as possible, we’ll be closing the West 220th St. bridge over I-480 to all motorists and pedestrian traffic,” Hunt said.
Alternative routes will be provided and will be similar to the ones used during the closure of Mastick Road last year.
