Trump confidant Roger Stone will go on trial in the fall on charges that he lied under oath and tried to obstruct a congressional investigation into Russian election interference

At a brief court hearing on Thursday, Judge Amy Berman Jackson set a Nov. 5 trial date for Mr. Stone and suggested that the proceedings would take at least two weeks. Mr. Stone’s attorneys had asked for a fall trial date, citing the immense amount of digital evidence.
