She says brows are her passion
A Nottingham hair and beauty salon was shortlisted at the British Hair and Beauty Awards for brow specialist of the year and has gone on to be the East Midlands Gold Winner. Polished Beauty Salon is located on Mansfield Road and has been open for six years.
"I entered the hair and beauty awards for brow expert and gave them my details, social media and website for the judges to have a look at. They are also tagged in all of your work so they can see what you are working on and we get mystery shopped too," she said. "I work in the beauty side of the business where we also have a nail technician and a hairdresser in there too so we cover everything in the industry. I've been doing beauty since I left school and cover all aspects but brows are my passion. I do everything from HD brows to brow lamination but also semi-permanent like tattooing."
Despite the difficulties of Covid, the salon has come out of the other side and Charlotte highlighted that it is thriving. She feels that now more than ever, people are taking the time for self-care and treating themselves to beauty treatments. Despite the cost of living increasing, people haven't changed their minds about beauty treatments. The self-care industry has been booming in recent months.
