As two lakes in San Antonio will be continually restocked full of catfish for the next six months, here's where to find good fishing.

Miller's Pond at 6175 Old Pearsall Road and Southside Lions Park at 3100 Hiawatha St. will be stocked periodically through October, although TPWD wrote that it will not announce exact stocking dates. Historically,is stocked with more catfish than any other lake, and Inland Fisheries San Antonio typically stocks the local lakes.
Other lakes stocked by TPWD include two in Austin and four in Houston. The program is meant to bring fishing experiences to urban centers in the Lone Star State and get Texas families connected with nature.A fishing license is required for adult anglers and starts at $11 for a one-day, all-water access license. Children 16 and younger may fish for free.
