The train operator has partnered with Seafrog to make it easier for customers to change even the cheapest tickets
Northern Rail has announced its intentions to make it easier for customers to swap their ticket to another train on the same day if an unexpected delay occurs.
By using the Seafrog app, Northern customers can even swap any 'Advance Purchase' tickets that were intended for one train. These type of tickets are often the cheapest without a discount, however, they were previously accompanied by strict restrictions on dates and times for travellers. Mark Powles, commercial and customer director at Northern, said: "Railcard discounts aside, ‘Advance Purchase’ tickets offer the cheapest fares on our network. But with those low prices came strict restrictions on travel dates and times.
