This week: The winning streak is now up to eight games. Atlantic Coast went down to defeat 12-5, behind three doubles from Jazmine Ramos-Merced and a Chloe Gotto homer last Monday. Baldwin then won 6-0 against Mandarin with a Piper Young shutout and 13-1 against Bishop Snyder. Baldwin plays Tuesday against Fletcher, Wednesday against Middleburg and Thursday against Westside, the last action before the Gateway Conference tournament.
This week: Getting very hot right now is Providence, winner of six consecutive games. This week's triumphs were a 15-0 shutout over Eagle's View, a game that erupted in a 15-run first inning, and a 6-3 victory over Creekside with a big home run for Daci Sarver. The bats are finding a rhythm, with Zoe Yaeger and Ella Roberson faring especially well at the plate.
