Buses will be collecting students to return home
A Northamptonshire school has been forced into an "emergency closure" over a "major flooding" incident. In a statement, Guilsborough Academy said it had to switch off the power to two blocks in the school for "safety reasons".
"Due to a major flood this morning we have to switch off the power to two blocks in the school for safety reasons. The buses will be collecting the students and they will be safely transferred back onto the buses to return home. The second warning, covering the Midlands, East Anglia and East Anglia, will remain in place between 11am and 6pm. The Met Office says that the thunderstorms will move northeast across the area, and are likely to lead to some transport disruption.
