He was found to have committed 22 counts of indecent assault on three underage children
A 58-year-old paedophile from Northampton lived for three decades in freedom despite having raped and assaulted a number of underage victims across a ten-year period. But now he has faced justice and was sentenced for his crimes last week.
Webster was brought to justice after his three victims, all of whom are now adults, came forward to Northamptonshire Police to report what he had done. The force has applauded their "strength and resilience".Webster tried to maintain his innocence when police accused him of the assaults against the three survivors following his arrest. All the survivors were children at the time of the offences.
Detective Constable Kelly Roberts, who led the investigation, said: “Webster thought he had gotten away with his crimes, living in freedom for more than 30 years, but this case proves that it doesn’t matter how much time has passed – we will do everything in our power to ensure you end up in prison for what you have done.
“No matter when a person has been a victim of crime, justice can be found, and this case proves just that.”
