The slap heard around the NBA Summer League won’t come with any legal consequences.
On Friday, the Las Vegas Police Department said no charges will be filed against Spurs head of security Damian Smith, whowith top 2023 NBA Draft pick Victor Wembanyama on Wednesday night.
Wembanayma was asked about the incident ahead of his NBA Summer League debut on Friday night, and was in disbelief when he found out it was Spears.“And then [I was told] this was Britney Spears. At first, I was like, ‘No, you’re joking!’ But yeah, it turns out it was Britney Spears.“I never saw her face.”
