Nine dog breeds most likely to suffer in heatwave as pet owners given urgent warning
Dog owners are being urged to keep a watchful eye over their pets amid soaring temperatures this July heatwave. In extreme heat, dogs are at risk of health risks such as heatstroke, dehydration and even death.
The risk is doubled for purebred dogs than crossbreeds, but experts say these nine breeds can vary. Chow chow dogs come in first place, as they are 17 times more likely to suffer heatstroke.
