10 IU men's basketball players, one women's basketball player have entered NIL deals through IU-centric collective Hoosiers For Good.
BLOOMINGTON – Hoosiers For Good, the Indianapolis-based NIL collective centered on connecting IU athletes with charitable causes in name, image and likeness arrangements, will announce Wednesday 11 new deals, 10 with men’s basketball players and one women’s basketball player.
“It is only our second class,” HFG Director Tyler Harris told IndyStar. “I felt like we did a pretty good job with our first class, and now appearances are starting to take place, so people are starting to see things put into practice.A non-profit with 501 status, Hoosiers For Good is an NIL collective, a sort of clearinghouse for donors wishing to contribute to a large pool of money that can be used to facilitate name, image and likeness arrangements.
Originally, the organization planned to build out two classes of athlete/charity partnerships per year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Hoosiers For Good announced a class in April including 14 athletes across seven sports.
