Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One salon launch their own consumer hair care line, In Common.
met as coworkers early on in their hairstyling careers. They shared one thing in common: problem-solving. That tenacity to bring solutions to real-life brought Lee and Capri together as business partners over the last 13 years. Their first business together was Nine Zero One salon which has turned into two locations, the 901 Academy, a luxury shower filter, Raindrops, and a non-profit benefiting cancer survivors, Beyoutiful Foundation.
Lee and Capri have been unstoppable in a world filled with Instagram hair tutorials and their latest addition,, is giving consumers healthy hair within the comfort of their own homes. InCommon is a luxury hair care brand focused on creating better for you products that provide instant results for all hair types. The products include key ingredients such as avocado oil, lavender extract, AHA's, hyaluronic acid and minerals that strengthen hair without being too harsh.
Capri also explained that she mostly sees consumers buy hair care products based on what worked for their friends or what they see on Instagram rather than what their hair actually needs."People are mistreating their hair every day by using products that simply do not work for them. Instead of customizing to their needs they are listening to outside sources that no very little about their hair.
The In Common launch comes right before the second annual Beyoutiful Day held at the Nine Zero One salon on Melrose Place in Los Angeles. This day was created by Lee and Capri to bring the community together to celebrate cancer patients and survivors through healthy, beautiful hair. On August 18th survivors and fighters will receive free haircuts while all other haircuts will be $150 that is donated to the foundation.
