Both sweet and savoury snacks can give rise to 'bizarre' dreams
We've all been told caffeine disrupts our rest, but now experts say some snacks can bring on disturbing dreams at night.
While cheese and other dairy topped the list of nightmare-inducing foods in the research published in Frontiers in Psychology, sweets such as chocolate bars, cotton candy or biscuits were also flagged. Coming in third place was spicy or starchy foods, which can cause people to have vivid dreams due to their nutritious composition.
