Lancashire Police has come under fire for revealing details about Nicola Bulley's"vulnerabilities", including her issues with alcohol in the past brought on by her struggles with the menopause.
She said her"deepest thoughts and sympathies" were with the 45-year-old's family and "it must be a horrendous experience that they are going through right now". Peter Faulding was asked by Ms Bulley's family to help police in the search for the 45-year-old along the River Wyre.Although police are yet to formally identify a body found in the river on Sunday morning, Mr Faulding released a statement on Monday saying his thoughts"thoughts are with the family and friends of Nicola Bulley at this very difficult time".
"I did not volunteer my services, my equipment or my team for any limelight or publicity, I simply wanted to lend extra resources to help a family in despair and this was supported by Lancashire Police.
