Nicki Minaj launched a back-and-forth on Twitter about her latest single, 'Megatron,' on Sunday (June 23). While many fans had questions about the track itself, her leading man -- both in the single's video and in life -- was the subject of much of the conversation.
She also explained why her "soulmate" doesn't call her Nicki, but Onika, her given name -- and why that's a good thing.
"He has called me onika since I was 15 so it’s hard to change that," she tweeted. "that was the problem, others r infatuated w/Nicki Minaj he DGAF about this industry & is very protective." She added that his "guard goes up" when she's around her Barbz, but that he seems "He won’t even say the word “Nicki”. He has called me onika since I was 15 so it’s hard to change that. I wouldn’t date anyone cuz I’m about to be married to my soulmate.
