In his fifth CFL season, Marshall has 17 interceptions, including a franchise-record five that he has returned for touchdowns. He made the CFL Players Association all-star team in 2018 and received recognition on the All-West Division team in 2021. Marshall started his pro career as an undrafted rookie with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars in 2015. He played almost exclusively on special teams until the last month of the season, then saw regular work with the Jacksonville defense in the final four games. Marshall returned 13 kickoffs for a 26.6-yard average and five punts for a 6.0-yard average for Jacksonville.
The Jets released Marshall on May 4, 2017, less than a month after he’d been suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the 2017 season for violating the league’s Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances.
