'As a family business, it’s great to see many of those who came into the shop back in the 1970s still calling in today.'
One of Northern Ireland's oldest independent sports shops is celebrating a milestone as it marks 50 years in business.
Norman captained the First XV at Ballyclare High School and later, turned out on Saturdays in midfield for Ballyclare United. "In those early days, we also mainly sold sports clothing, bicycles, toys, and even fishing gear at various times." Despite facing challenges such as economic downturns and the rise of online shopping, the business has continued to grow. This is a testament to Norman’s enthusiasm and passion for delivering excellent service and products to the community.
