Goodell suggested a division of European teams could happen while speaking in London on Saturday before an international series game between the New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday."There's no question that London could support not just one franchise, I think two franchises. I really believe that. And that's from a fan perspective, from a commercial standpoint, from a media standpoint. I think you all have proven that," Goodell said.
After the European league ceased operations, the NFL began the International Series in 2007 with at least one regular season game being played outside the United States every season since its launch, with the exception of the 2020 season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
