Las Vegas Raiders star Davante Adams took his frustration out on a photographer by shoving him to the ground while exiting the field.
Wide receiver Adams had just lost a game to the Kansas City Chiefs and was annoyed after he ran into his own teammate on the final play.
Adams smashed his helmet into the ground out of frustration before marching off the field of play where he encountered a photographer in his path. The photographer was carrying a stand when Adams shoved him hard, causing the cameraman to lose his balance and fall over. Adams simply gestures with his right hand and carries on walking past the stricken photographer.Adams’ behavior has been widely condemned and he later apologized on television and social media for the incident.
“Before I answer anything else, I want to apologize to the guy. I seen some guy running off the field and he ran, he jumped in front of me,” Adams tells“I was coming out the field and I bumped into him and kinda pushed him and he ended up on the ground, so I wanted to say sorry to him for that because that was just frustration mixed with him running in front of me and I shouldn’t have responded that way, but that’s how I initially responded so I wanted to apologize to him for that.
Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously very frustrated at the way the game ended and when he ran infront of me as I exited that was my reaction and I felt horrible immediately. Thats not me..MY APOLOGIES man hope you see this.Adams followed up the interview with a Tweet saying that he “felt horrible immediately.
As the Raiders chased the lead at the end of the game Adams and fellow receiver Hunter Renfrow ran into each other, tumbling to the ground and unable to catch the pass from quarterback Derek Carr. The Raiders fell just short finishing the game one point behind the Chiefs.
