Clear skies and dry weather was forecast for much of Monday in the Bay Area, but the now-familiar wind and rain is expected to follow.
Late Monday, around 11 p.m., the all too familiar rainfall was expected to return to the entirety of the Bay Area. Less than one-tenth of an inch was expected to fall during that area but rain totals were forecast to ramp up throughout the day Tuesday. San Jose was forecast to see about one-half of an inch of rain Tuesday, according to Monday morning forecasts.
Stronger rainbands were predicted in San Francisco and Oakland, with between one-half and three-quarters of an inch expected Tuesday, with another quarter coming overnight into Wednesday. More active weather is on the way starting late Mon/early Tues with another round of rain and stronger winds. Area of concern is more focused towards the Central Coast, but given antecedent conditions, nuisance flooding, mudslides, and downed trees possible across the area.
