Gun City's managing director said his company sold accused Christchurch shooter Brenton Tarrant four “Category A” firearms and ammunition via its online store

The investigation into how Brenton Tarrant was able to acquire an arsenal of weapons allegedly used in Friday’s massacre of worshipers at two Christchurch mosques reached a major firearms retailer with stores across New Zealand.

Gun City Managing Director David Tipple said his company sold Mr. Tarrant four “Category A” firearms and ammunition via its online store. He didn’t provide additional details, but said the 28-year-old wasn’t sold any military-style semiautomatic rifles.
