New York lawmakers passed a bill allowing illegal immigrants to apply for driver's licenses and Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed it into law
ALBANY—New York lawmakers announced agreements Monday on extending labor protections for farmworkers and changing the standard to bring sexual-harassment claims, but a deal on legalizing recreational marijuana remained uncertain.
State Sen. Liz Krueger, a Democrat from Manhattan, said the marijuana bill was undergoing another round of revisions and would again be considered privately by Democrats who control the chamber. She is racing to complete a bill before lawmakers’ scheduled summer adjournment on Wednesday.
