Constance Marten or her baby are not believed to have been assessed by medical professionals
There has been a new sighting of a mum who went missing with her newborn baby after their car broke down on the M61.
The vehicle stopped near to junction four of the M61 at Farnworth, Bolton, and the family left the motorway safely on foot. Police issued an appeal to locate them as the new mum or her baby are not believed to have been assessed by medical professionals.Police said they believed Constance had been seen in Essex, more than 250 miles away, at about 9am on Saturday at a port where ferries operate from.
The force said: "With it being three days now, officers are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of the new born baby which is everyone's priority and are asking for Constance and any members of the public who have any information to reach out to ensure they are safe and well," the force said.
"Since then officers believe they have seen a sighting of Constance in a red shawl near to Harwich Port in Essex at around 9am yesterday before the last sighting coming shortly after at around 10am in Colchester. Anyone with information should contact Greater Manchester Police via 999 quoting 2657 05/01/23. GMP can also be contacted via gmp.police.uk.
