Olmsted Falls recently opened its renovated playground at East River Park on Lewis Road.

OLMSTED FALLS, Ohio – To say Victoria Bickerton enjoys the new East River Park playground is an understatement.Victoria was referring to the duck spring rocker she rode for, well, quite a long time.
“We are super excited about this. It is nice to see Olmsted Falls is making an improvement in the park,” said Stephen, who lives near the park.Kayla, a Bulldog grad, would play on the old park’s playground in her younger years.The city learned last year it would receive $150,000 from the state capital budget for the new equipment at the Lewis Road park.
“This is a very safe improvement. It is nice and wide open,” he said. “I like the color scheme, which goes with the setting. Everything looks safety conscious. And it offers novel ways for kids to explore movement. They can take risks due to the set up and safety.” Enjoy the opening, but remember to have patience, too. Construction workers continue to work on the rest of the project while that lane is open.: The city will again sponsor the Half Way to St. Patrick’s Day Party on Sept. 14.
