The Scottish Events Campus (SEC) has welcomed one of Scotland’s most experienced major events professionals as their new Director of Operations.
With over 20 years of experience, Colin Hartley joined the city’s event campus at the start of June to oversee the running of the SEC, as well as playing a major role in helping the events campus meet its ambitious targets of becoming net zero by 2030.
Hartely will take the lead when the SEC hosts several major events over the next few years such as the 92nd INTERPOL General Assembly which brings in over 1000 senior delegates to the city, IRNBRU Carnival and the Scottish Wedding Show, which will be returning later this year. He said: “I have been fortunate to work across some of the world’s biggest and most exiting event and I’m delighted to be bringing that experience to the home of Glasgow’s best events.”
