The new drinking spot will open in the old Atkinsons Coffee shop unit
A brand new cocktail bar is opening in Manchester's buzzing Northern Quarter. Named Stray, it promises to bring 'uncomplicated' and 'well executed' cocktails to the city's award-winning food hall Mackie Mayor.
Stray's anchor drinks list will focus on preparation and ingredients rather than complexity with hours of time and attention spent developing each drink. Ingredients will be locally sourced where possible, while spirits will be infused in house and cordials are expected to be homemade. In terms of the backdrop for the new cocktail concept, the original features of the industrial building including its towering pillars and exposed brick walls, make for an intimate space. Complemented with deep greens, dark wood, a sleek marble bar top and soft lighting, the space feels luxurious and relaxed on the inside whilst the vast floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the venue create the perfect spot to sit and watch the world go by.
