Three weeks after naming a lone finalist for the job, the New Braunfels Independent School District's Board of Trustees has officially hired a new superintendent.
New Braunfels ISD’s board members on Wednesday night unanimously to approve Laurelyn Arterbury as the district's new top executive. “The board and I are very happy to welcome Dr. Arterbury and her family to New Braunfels,” New Braunfels ISD Board President Eric Bergquist said in a written statement. “She surpassed all of our expectations, and we have no doubt she will be a great leader for this growing community. She upholds our beliefs and will lead us to the next level.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be selected as the next leader of New Braunfels ISD,” Arterbury said in a written statement. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to the members of the Board of Trustees for placing their trust in me and for the opportunity to lead the district forward.”campus visits to Lone Star, Carl Schurz, Lamar, Seele, Veramendi, Oak Run MS, NBHS, DAEP and Gateway.
